What is microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, has quickly become our most popular service. It is an anti-aging facial that stimulates collagen.* Collagen induction therapy reduces acne scars, wrinkles, enlarged pores, stretch marks and improves tone and texture.* An automated microneedling pen is used to make micro-injuries into the skin to produce collagen and elastin.*
PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma, is a cutting-edge form of regenerative medicine that is being used more and more in cosmetic treatments. PRP is performed by drawing a small vial of your own blood. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the growth factors, platelets and stem cells from the rest of the blood. Once this unique mixture is obtained, the enriched plasma is applied to the desired treatment areas. The enriched plasma contains proteins and molecules that provide nutrients to the skin’s cells, making it a natural, healthy way to improve aging skin.*
What are the benefits?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapies promote the induction of collagen when used in an aesthetic treatment. The process uses the patient’s own blood and a Microneedling device (SkinPen Precision or Morpheus 8) to create a controlled wound, then both apply topically and inject the platelet rich plasma into treatment areas, releasing growth factors that increase the proliferation of cells.
What does Vermont Med Spa provide?
Vermont Med Spa offers 3 levels of treatment:
- Level 1: SkinPen Precision using SkinFuse Lift serum
- Level 2: SkinPen Precision using SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum
- Level 3: “Microneedling Facelift” – SkinPen Precision or Morpheus 8 RF Microneedling Laser using PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
All of these treatments diminish fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots, dark under eye circles, and even shrink pore size and smooth out skin tone
We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments, use if recommended home care products and offers discount packages.
How does the Microneedling Facelift (aka VampireTM) work?
First, the RN will draw blood with a small needle and separates the red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma (PRP). We then take that plasma and apply it topically to the patient’s face. The skin is aerated by the SkinPen Precision™️, or RF Microneedling Laser- Morpheus 8, which produces microscopic holes that allows the PRP to enter the skin.
What should I expect during my treatment?
Treatments usually take around 60 minutes or less, with very little downtime afterward. Side effects are rare, but patients report noticing slight puffiness in their face that dissipates after a couple of days. There are no risks involved during the Microneedling Facelift.
How does regenerative hair growth work?
PRP therapy for hair restoration uses a combination of ACell, PRP, and nutrients that’s injected into the scalp to stimulate grow hair. The non-surgical treatment is safe and effective, usually lasting for no more than 90 minutes. It’s common to experience mild swelling for 1-2 days after the injection, and Dr. El Asmar recommends avoiding vigorous activities. Any pain shouldn’t last longer than 48 hours.
